I just wanted to thank you all so
much for such an enjoyable evening out! We look for things to do
with our teenagers who are too old for so many things and yet too
young for others. They absolutely loved seeing your show in
Marysville on July 28th! These teenagers will now go tell all their
friends what a great time they had and look forward to doing it
again soon! The best part of Improv is it is different every time!
I would recommend you advertise
and say this is a great enjoyable evening out for teens and adults
alike. Even though the show was in a bar section of the restaurant
we went to, we never felt like by having the teens in the audience,
it lessened the enjoyable experience for anyone.

very kind words!
Dawn Holley, Ohio’s very own comedic
genius, brings together two favorites: coffee and comedy, in her
intimate hour-long shows. The Café Comedy Players, a group established
by Dawn in 2003, is comprised of Dawn Holley, Yury Khidekel, and Tim
Lucas. The group has also performed with a variety of others from around
the world. Café Comedy showcases comedic talent with the goal of proving
that “we all have the ability to make each other laugh.”
Celebrating the idea of laughter and comedy, Dawn has designed a show
centered on her audience. Based at Nora’s Café, in down town Grove City,
and the Columbus Maennerchor, in German Village, Dawn and her troupe
easily adapt to their surroundings. While at Nora’s, the show is
brightly entertaining, and clean; it is the perfect treat for families.
The Grove City Visitors & Convention Bureau echoes the sentiment of this
crowd, saying: Café Comedy is “wildly popular .” Meanwhile, The
Maennerchor is the ideal adult environment, and Dawn offers a perfect
show for dates or, simply, an evening out in Columbus.
No matter what the environment, hilarity ensues as Dawn rattles off
unintentionally funny church ads or the group does an improvisational
skit based on audience suggestions. At a recent show, Dawn’s parents
even joined in on the fun, making barnyard noises to go along with one
of Dawn’s acts. The stand-up comedy is witty and comical, and is at it’s
best when it focuses on local places or issues. Whether one is a first
time audience-member or a regular, Cafe Comedy is a good time for the
entire family. This show is an awesome reprieve from the world and
workplace. Truly, Dawn Holley has made an impressively whimsical impact
on the Buckeye State and her show is a must-see.
