A short bio of a tall
comic
Dawn is a “joyfully funny”* corporate comedienne. Clients include
Pepsi, Honda, Frito Lay, Huntington Bank and Smith Barney. Her 5
star national performer rating with Gigmasters has brought
invitations for Dawn to perform her truth based comedy on both
coasts and across the country.
How an Alabama born-Texas bred woman ended up living in Ohio, by way
of Minnesota, will, for now, remain a mystery. Here’s how Dawn
Holley, a computer trainer by trade, entered the business of comedy.
She started writing and performing comedy skits about the computer
industry. Her first performance was in 1996 for 5,000 attendees at a
computer support conference in Reno. Here she learned it is the wise
performer who turns off her wireless mike before entering the ladies
room.
Dawn has performed and produced comedy shows to benefit several
causes.
Her on camera work includes commercials, like spots for HBO, Ford
and a Public Service Announcement to encourage kids to stay in
school sponsored by the Ohio Lottery. Her acting experience extends
to stage, film and voice-over work.
In November 2002, she showcased
for L.A. casting agents in the California Comedy Conference. *Comedy Showcase Comments
In July 2003, Dawn established Café Comedy, a stand-up and improv
revue, performing frequently to standing room only crowds in central
Ohio. She continues to produce Cafe Comedy an Entertainment Best Bet
says The Columbus Dispatch and performs at corporate events across
the country.
In addition to being a comedian, Dawn is an artist, a yoga
practitioner and a mother of two very funny sons.
